The program will also help the students prepare for certification in the field of financial planning. This program will be delivered in a flexible manner where students have the choice to study on campus, virtually via web conferencing, fully online, or a combination thereof. The first year of Business-Finance contains a common curriculum with Cambrian’s other two-year Business diploma programs: General Business, Business-Accounting, and Business-Hospitality, with year two focusing on various aspects of financial services including financial planning, investing, mortgage, and general insurance. “We heard from community partners, industry experts and members of our Program Advisory Committees (PACs) working in the financial sector who strongly recommended this kind of program, indicating there is a need for this skill set.” “This is a unique program to the region and one that was developed with significant input from various stakeholders,” says Parvinder Arora, Dean of Cambrian’s School of Business.
